Individual Therapy and Counseling

Therapy is a process of opening up about your experiences, thoughts, and feelings in order to understand and liberate yourself from unwanted patterns. I can help individuals with (but not limited to) the following:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Grief and loss

  • Trauma processing/healing

  • Deepening awareness of sexuality and pleasure

  • Showing up more authentically in your life

  • Vulnerability

  • Understanding and applying boundaries

  • Self-acceptance

  • Regulation and mood management

  • Connecting with and integration of the body

  • Relationship stress

I am an eclectic therapist: using tools and ideas from different forms of therapy to fit your specific needs. Common modalities I utilize include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Methods, Compassion Focused, Somatic Therapy, and the PLISSIT model. I am aware of the varying identities I hold as a practitioner and bring myself to this work from a culturally sensitive and trauma informed place.

Individual Sex Thearpy

Sex therapy can also be the focus of our work together for individual counseling. It is a safe, non-judgemental space to address any challenges you might be facing or for exploring your sexual desires, identity, and everything in between. Therapy includes: exploring identities and orientations, pain during sex, performance concerns, sexual trauma, desire discrepancy, out of control sexual behaviors, body image, marginalized sexual identities, and self-confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a typical session look like?

Sessions typically begin with building rapport, providing a safe and welcoming space for exploration, and an intake. During intake we will begin to learn all about your history: family dynamics, past relationships, significant life experiences, etc. From there, we begin to work on goals you have for therapy. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, rather we will work collaboratively to address the goals that you have in coming to see a therapist.

What is the rate for a session?

Session cost depends on your provider and length of session. Please refer to the Rates page for more information.
